Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar wins the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Primary. The presidential primary was held in Abuja, the Nigeria capital.

He polled 371 votes to beat his rivalry Nyesom Wike, the current governor of Rivers State who got 237 votes, and Bukola Saraki, former governor of Kwara State who got 70 votes. 

There were other constants who participated in the presidential primary. Some of the constants are Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, Anyim Pius Anyim, Mrs Tari Diana Oliver (the only woman in the race), Sam Ohuabunwa​​​​​​​, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel

Aminu Tambuwal, the Governor of Sokoto State withdrew from the race and he immediately endorsed Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria. , #pdp #pdpprimaries
